Dumbest Apartment Rule Ever

Okay, so I live at a very new apartment complex in the heights and have loved living here the past few months. Until the dumbest thing I’ve ever dealt with has happened to me. Let me preface this by saying the apartment has no freight elevators and the back staircase isn’t tall enough to move most furniture. So, I order a couch that is 96” thinking it will have no problem fitting in an elevator (it didn’t, but I didn’t panic because I knew there were stairs). Anyway, our back stairs are useless, but our front stairs… they’re stunning. The owner paid a fortune for this custom, no-longer-being-made wood for the front stairs, to appeal to new tenants. These stairs are perfect for moving furniture, not because of the wood, but because of the height/space. The owner REFUSES to allow anyone to move anything up these front stairs in fear of messing up the wood. Again, no freight elevator and no back stairwell that accommodates furniture. If we try to use to front stairwell we get a lease violation 🫠. So, am I overreacting to think this is egregiously dumb? Affirmations welcome!

*note: I am the third person who has had an issue moving something into this building, and the owner ✨doesn’t care✨
