Police Academy Problems

Might not apply to Houston proper as much as the surrounding areas, but it is extremely difficult to even get into a Peace Officer course. Not because of high standards, but because of costs. The GI Bill doesn’t cover the academy in my area and without one of the rare sponsored positions, it’s near enough to impossible to justify not working for the nine months it takes to complete the course. Plus tuition. For talking so much about needing more people, they don’t seem that motivated to get people into the program.
