Maybe I’m just being grumpy…

…but shouldn’t all of these special promotion nights that have dominated the broadcasts this week been during the dog days of summer and not while we are going down the stretch of a pennant race? It’s all great, but I think in September we should wear our regular uniforms and focus on beating the crap out of 100-loss teams. How many hats and uniforms do they expect us to buy? How about “let’s not walk the lead off batter night” or “catch the damn ball night”? Again, sorry but I’m in a bad mood watching us get embarrassed by the Royals and A’s.
