What’s considered the “inner loop” or “inside the loop” nowadays?

I’m 46, grew up around Meyerland and Alief. I lived in the museum/TMC area after I dropped out of grad school until I got married. In the early-mid ‘00s “inside the loop” meant you were inside loop 610. About 10 years after that, a lot of young transplants referred to “inside the loop” as only being downtown + west of 288/45, referring to it like some kind of country club which kind of baffled me. So I’m curious how it is now, 10 more years later… what does “inside the loop” really mean?
