Bugs indoors (is it just the heat?)

I have been finding more and more ants, roaches and now spiders(black window gahh!) around the house this summer. I do not leave food out and this has never been a problem before. Do yall think it is the heat and have you seen more indoors? Ive laid traps but I think they are too small for the roaches. Just looking for some validation or if I need to come to terms being messier than I think I am. Should I consider pest control services or just wait until the heat settles down?
