New Resident Help

Hi everyone,

I’m moving from Columbus, OH to Houston next summer after I finish college and I’m wondering if you guys could give me a little advice.

What do you love and hate about Houston?

Is there anything I should do when I get there to best explore the city’s culture? Good restaurants? Musical ensembles?

Where would be a good place to live if I’m working near Sheldon/Channelview? I’d prefer to keep the commute under 30 minutes. I’m hoping to just rent an apartment. Safety is important.
