Texans pick up former 2x All- Ivy League/USFL QB EJ Perry

A former Brown QB, Perry signed with the Texans on August 13th for his second stint with the team. He stands 6’2 and weighs 210lbs. When he participated in the 2022 NFL Combine he was received the highest overall athleticism score of any QB that year.

He was signed and was cut by the Jags and then Texans practice squads before going to Michigan Panthers in the USFL as their backup. The day after his contract ended with them the Texans signed him to the active roster

He’s 4th string right now but could he possibly battle his way up to be the backup?
