This logo will end up on a white alternate helmet. Here’s why…

Just been thinking about this and one thing makes sense. The slender profile of the H logo subtly mimics the oil derrick logo. This H logo on a white helmet with H-Town Blue jerseys looks like a good starting point for an Oiler-esqe alternate uniform. I think that’s their plan to honor H-Town Blue as the alternate uniform.
