How old is your AC system?

My system is 26 years old and has gone out three times in the last two weeks but only had to have a technician come out once because he showed me how to fix it when it goes out. My compressor outside has a fuse button that just needs to be switched on when it goes out. He was shocked a 26 year old system was still running. It's just too damn expensive to replace.

When I bought my 1300sqft house back in 2018, I had a company send me a quote on replacing the system and they quoted me over $14,000 and I can't imagine how much it would be now
