Busted water mains

I live in a neighborhood originally built out in the late 50s, and I swear to God pretty much every street has a busted water main on it right now. I’m guessing it’s the combination of old infrastructure + punishing heat and drought. Anyone else seeing this?

They take weeks to get fixed, I’m sure the city is overwhelmed with repairs. Really sucks watching thousands of gallons of water just go right down the storm sewer.
