The Women’s Hospital of Texas in Houston, experiences?

I’m set to give birth later next month at The Woman’s Hospital of Texas on Fannin (HCA). I LOVE my OB and have had a great experience with him so far. I don’t have my hospital tour for another week or two and I do have some family who have given birth there many years ago and had good things to say.

I’m hoping to hear from others who gave birth there more recently for any feedback or advice about given birth there/what to expect.

How’s the L&D staff? Is the food tolerable? About how long did you stay after delivery? Anything I should make sure to pack to make it more comfortable? Anything I should make my husband aware of for him to be the best support possible while we are there? Is there a nursery viewing window? We have concerns about family showing up uninvited and trying to view the baby from the waiting room. If you paid extra for the birthing suites, how much are they? (For some reason they don’t offer that $ info online.)
