There’s a subreddit for dashcam videos from Houston drivers, just FYI…

Several times a week, someone will put up a post in /r/houston with interesting video from their dash cam of something that happened in Houston.

I enjoy seeing those – many of us do.

But there's a rule here against posts having to do with bad driving, so moderators quickly remove any posts with video from dash cams.

Sometimes someone has video of a hit & run that could be helpful to the people involved. Sure, they need to give that to the police, but that takes some effort. I think that in addition to making the video available to authorities, it's a good thing to post it on Reddit in case someone involved isn't aware there's video.
