What’s up with Matt Gage this season?

This is a legitimate question and not some bashing thread.

He's been pretty good in his albeit short sample size in the majors with us this year.

Through 6.1 IP he's had 2.70 ERA and 2.73 xFIP.

He's also a lefty which we needed since we for whatever reason didn't sign Will Smith who was signed very cheaply and very very late into the year.

And before anyone acts like he was awful with us, his underlying metrics with us were excellent after we tweaked his pitch usage.

Anyways, back to Gage. He's a lefty who Dana Brown was really high on. Obviously, we will see him when rosters expand, but not sure why we haven't been using him more. But we are using guys like Kuhnel
