Astros lack of working the count

Right now, we appear to only have 2-3 players in our daily lineup that “work the count” daily. Bregman, Tucker, and maybe Dubon. We all know Alvarez will join that list when he returns. Past Astros great teams were dominated with, “work the count” like players, which is why we need Brantley back so badly. I personally think his career is over. Thankfully, Altuve will be back soon, he has never been a “work the count guy, but whom can argue with his results. Peña, Myers, Maldonado, Abreau are by far the worst offenders, consistently striking out on balls well out of the strike zone. McCormick and Julks are two players that can become plate discipline players with more time.
And now we just lost to the lowly Colorado Rockies because we can’t score against multiple relievers in 8 innings. Bite the bullet on Abreu, and replace him, he has one to two good games, and then 10 bad ones in a row.
