First home search, really like a home on a flood plane. How do I make sure I’m comfortable?

Really like a home we found in the Independence Heights area but the response from Risk Factor shows it's a 6/10 on the flood concern. House itself is elevated two feet off the ground, so is the AC unit. Garage is not elevated, but the floor is epoxy coated up the elevated house point. I drive a sedan and my girlfriend drives an SUV, so if I'm aware of any storm that may cause flooding I'll more than likely be leaving my car parked at my office's garage and catching a ride home.

We really like nearly everything else about the home. Am I being overly cautious or rightfully so? Of course this a really expensive purchase and I can't fight back on mother nature, so just wanted to see if y'all had any resources or advice to put my mind at ease.
