Professional development for software developers?

I just moved to the city in June. I work remote for the same company I did back North. While there is an office here, I have nothing to do with those teams, so I would never go in.

Back in Omaha, there were a handful of local conferences or tech groups that I liked to go to. Such as:

Since I’m remote and don’t have coworkers here, I was wondering if there were any similar local things to network at? I’m primarily Python and AWS. I tried searching, but alas, came up with a bunch of dead MeetUp groups.

TLDR: which tech conferences and user groups are still active in Houston and Texas in general?
