Apartment recommendations

Hey all,

Been browsing the subreddit looking at previous posts about apartments but couldn’t find anything super recent.

Our apartment search keeps running into dead ends or issues with the leasing process. And when looking at places some reviews are horrifying! A few complexes looked nice and then reading reviews found out people have been murdered, robbed, have had homeless staying in the buildings…

We haven’t been able to get a win it seems, so we would sincerely appreciate any advice or recommendations, or just places to avoid (I at least know not to touch a Greystar property with a 10 foot pole).

Our budget is around 1800, just looking for a 1×1. A den or some sort of study would be nice with updated interiors/appliances… would also like to be within a 25 minute drive to UofH.

I am so sorry to ask here, I feel like we are overlooking potential communities as there is just an overwhelming amount to sort through and have been at this since June.
