Astros Record with "X" Player
Since we're in the All-Star Break, I thought now was a perfect time to look up the Astros record whenever a certain player starts. Here are the numbers (with winning percentage in parenthesis):
| Player | Games Started | Games Not Started |
|---|---|---|
| M. Maldonado | 35-32 (0.522) | 15-9 (0.625) |
| Y. Diaz | 24-21 (0.533) | 26-20 (0.565) |
| J. Abreu | 48-39 (0.552) | 2-2 (0.500) |
| J. Altuve | 19-12 (0.613) | 31-29 (0.517) |
| M. Dubon | 33-34 (0.493) | 17-7 (0.708) |
| A. Bregman | 50-40 (0.556) | 0-1 (0.000) |
| J. Pena | 42-38 (0.525) | 8-3 (0.727) |
| Corey Julks | 40-22 (0.645) | 10-19 (0.345) |
| Y. Alvarez | 33-24 (0.579) | 17-17 (0.500) |
| C. McCormick | 25-23 (0.532) | 25-18 (0.581) |
| J. Meyers | 34-27 (0.557) | 16-14 (0.533) |
| K. Tucker | 48-41 (0.539) | 2-0 (1.000) |
Ironman: Alex Bregman
Best winning % starting: Corey Julks
Worst winning % starting: Maurico Dubon
Apologies if some of the math isn't correct. So what can we take away from this? Apparently sit Tucker and play Bregman every game and we'll be unstoppable. /s
In all honesty, not much. I'm sure someone can do some further digging and bring out more valuable analysis but I just thought this would be fun to look at.
