Next available DPS appointment is in November?

Hello! I recently moved to TX and wanted to surrender my out-of-state license. Also, a relative of mine lost her ID and needs to get a new one from here. However, when I tried to register, I saw online that the next available appointment is in November. If I go in person, I'm worried I will be turned away as the appointments are online but I desperately need to turn in my ID and get a TX license and my relative needs hers for employment purposes. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
