Apartment Complex states I cannot put a window A/C unit in because it is unsightly. What are my options? Any advice to getting a room cooler will be greatly appreciated.

I ask this in the Houston sub since it has been ridiculously hot here lately, and it has forced me to take action. I live on the 3rd floor, and heat rises, soo my HVAC is working overtime.

If anybody has advice as to how i can counter, this will be greatly appreciated.

Window AC would be ideal, but i called the front desk and asked, and they said "no, it is unsightly." I looked in my lease and it doesn't say anything about window AC.
