Looking for a bar with a pool. Is Space Cowboy pretty good, or is there somewhere better other than El Segundo?

I'll be in town for just the day on Friday for one little thing. There will be some time to kill and a bar/pool would be awesome. It looks like the only place like that that's not part of a hotel is El Segundo, but it looks like it's only open on the weekend. Is that really the case?

I can't book a time on Friday, so I'm assuming they're not open, just wanted to be sure.

Looks like Space Cowboy is cool, and another similar situation at a different hotel would be OK as long as the hotel is OK with people walking in off the street and using their pool. El Segundo was attractive because there wouldn't be kids.

So yeah, anything else out there?
