713 Music Hall Seating

I realize this question will most likely be frowned upon, but I’ve got to ask it nonetheless. Awhile back my friends and I bought tickets to an upcoming concert. One of my (daft) buddies inadvertently purchased a 200 GA ticket instead of a GA Floor ticket. We’d prefer not to be split up. We were hoping 200 seats could freely move down to Floor, as 200 seats have a better view and typically go for more. However, this is a rare instance where floor seems to be costing more, complicating our situation further.. so, my question is..

Do they have a line to scan your ticket to get in the venue and then another line to scan your ticket per section inside the venue? Or once inside, is it just a flash your ticket, get a blue light stamp / wrist band situation?

We are trying to figure out if we can somehow finagle a way into us all being in the same section, without jumping through the hoops of reselling and buying new tickets. Anyone ever done this? Thanks
