Houston pub trivia – looking to build a team!

My fiance and I have really enjoyed playing bar trivia for the past several months, but have recently had to switch our trivia night to Tuesdays. We're looking for an eclectic, fun mix of people to join us. It's free to play and we've won $100 in gift cards just in the past two weeks, so free drinks (or apps) are a definite possibility if we keep placing in the top three!

Right now, we play in West Houston at Watson's House of Ales at 7pm near I-10 and Hwy 6. It's a small space, but there's no team size limit – so we could have 8 people or 12 people if we wanted (and if we can fit).

We typically have 3-6 players who usually show up. I'm a physics teacher, my fiance is a mechanical drafter/welder, another member is an English teacher, and the fourth (fifth and/or sixth) is sometimes we have a chemical engineer, or an insurance adjuster, or a restaurant manager, or a paramedic to round out the group. We've played with as many as seven or eight before we switched nights and lost some team members as a result.

We would love to meet new people and to have some fun together. Anyone is welcome because the more diverse our group is, the better we'll do. So no matter your age (18+), background, politics, religion, or race, you're invited!

This is general trivia, and our current team needs the most help in the following trivia categories: Current music and pop culture (especially pop music), life sciences, history, geography, food/baking, fashion, video games, etc. But we'll take whatever help we can!

This is all about having a good time and finding fun, like minded people. So if trivia is your thing, or even if you've never tried it before but just want to have fun, let me know!
