Air conditioning

How cool was your air conditioning able to keep your home today? I'm in an apartment and had my AC set to 75 but it's been 78-80 all day. Was wondering if my AC unit needs to be replaced or if that is what should be expected in this heat.

I should add that I'm on the 3rd floor (top) of my apartment. About 800sq ft.
