Mahjong and drinking buddies in Chinatown?

My Chinese friend is really missing playing mahjong, drinking and hanging out with her friends back home. Are there any places close to Chinatown where people gather to do this? I know there are places where people play mahjong but they’re gambling spots and she doesn’t want that.
