Help with first speeding citation.

Hello I am 20 and just received my first speeding ticket. I was pulled over by a school police officer and he stated I was speeding in the school zone. He did not radar me (on the ticket he marked alleged) and he also didn't put the location of the ticket either.

I know there is defensive driving and going through a lawyer/ticket clinic program to fight the ticket.

Should I also reschedule my court date to hope the police officer doesn't show up?

I'm not even sure how this works. Do I show up to my court day and ask for defense driving? I’m just nervous and don’t know where to go from here.
