Key considerations for raising growth capital

According to a report from Pitchbook and the National Venture Capital Association, venture capital funding declined to $238 billion in 2022, a greater than $100 billion drop from the previous year. Deal counts also suffered, decreasing by 14 percent year over year. The trend has continued into 2023 as Q1 venture capital exits totaled a paltry $5.8 billion, a mere 2.2 percent of the exits seen as recently as the second quarter of 2021.
