Are there any writing groups in Houston?

Hi there!

I am a fledgling writer, and I'm looking for a writing group of some kind to join.

I've written a (way too big) novel and a children's book, and I also write poetry. Before I start sending anything off to be rejected by publishers, I want to try and hone my skills as a writer, as well as build up my portfolio a bit more.

I love the sci-fi / fantasy genre in particular, but am open to expanding my horizons with any genre.

Are there any existing groups who are looking for a new member? Are there any other writers like me who would like to group up?

If this is not the appropriate place to ask this, just let me know / point me in the right direction, and I will adjust accordingly.
