Would it be ok to say this (picture), is the size of the Greater Houston Area?
Hey r/Houston. Was talking to someone on here about the validity of the census agency’s report that the greater Houston area, has an area that is 10,050 miles squared.
Seems way too big for something to be considered the Greater Houston Area, so I mapped and measured what an area that size would look like on Google Earth.
Here’s what I got: https://imgur.com/a/AEZKdal
Here’s what I think most of you would consider the Greater Houston Area to be: https://imgur.com/a/kkylRBx
Is the census stretching it by saying something this size is considered the greater Houston area? Curious to read what you think
