Water Costs in the Medical Center near Hermann Park
I recently moved into a townhouse with an HOA. The HOA charges us for water. I am being charged $0.0143/gal of water. Is that normal? My water bill shot through the roof. I believe that I am using the same amount of water as I always do. I have a roommate and our partners come and stay with us anywhere for 1/3-1/2 of the month. From a quick google search, the average person used 3000 gallons per month. Given that we have two permanent residents and two long term guests, my latest usage of 7250 gallons seems reasonable/accurate.
For example, as I mentioned above, my latest statement says I used 7250 gallons of water. 7250 x 0.0143 = $103.68. Is that normal for anyone using the same amount of water in the area? I am just shocked that my water bill is that much when it previously was like $40-50 at my previous apartment (I also had a roommate and partners staying over often at this place).
Does anyone have any insight on my water costs? Or am I just unaware of how much water really costs.
