Kirby Ice House parking lot break ins

In the past two weeks, we have visited Kirby Ice House twice. On both occasions, someone broke into my friend's car at the parking lot and stole items that were inside.
Be careful with leaving bags visible inside of your car.
They do have a security guy on duty, but obviously this is not helpful to prevent break ins.
Similar experience with that parking lot?
