Is there a disconnect between Abreu and the coaching staff?

There’s been a couple of comments that lead me to this question.

First it was the whole comment from Cintron saying Abreu’s issues are mechanical which Abreu disagreed with.

Second time was the recent comments from Dusty about Abreu being injured. Dusty mentioned how he thinks Abreu is injured, but Abreu wasn’t saying anything about it because he “bottles things in” or whatever.

Do you guys buy that it’s an injury? If so, I guess that’s “good” in that if it was an injury causing him to suck he might get better.

But I just think he’s getting old with how poorly he’s seeing the ball and swinging at balls outside the zone which is well above his norm. This wasn’t a case of “sucks in April” he was trending in that direction in the 2nd half of the season last year.
