Looking for an affordable steak and/or a bbq restaurant

Going to Houston for the first time with the family and looking for a not-fancy, somewhat affordable place to get a good steak and bbq. The kids (9 and 12) aren't big steak eaters. Staying in west houston (energy corridor) from a wednesday through saturday. However, we'll be driving to NASA and around while we're there, so open to different areas.
