European visitor looking for BBQ place recommendations

Hi everyone,

I will be in Houston for work in June and I really want to try some Texas BBQ (especially Brisket). Because of the work, I probably only have opportunity to do this on one day, and I am somewhat confined to the general area around the George R. Brown Convention Center.

I can probably go about 30-45 car minutes from that point, but not much farther. I would be very happy about recommendations!
