Houston region saw significant population gains in 2022, especially Harris, Fort Bend, Montgomery counties

Overall, out of the nine counties that make up the Houston MSA, Harris County accounted for 36.7% of the growth. However, population trends show a shift to Fort Bend and Montgomery counties.
