Trying to help a friend move, need suggestions, limited funds due to abusive relationship

Short story short I have a friend living in an abusive relationship and she is trying to escape it by moving to New Braunfels. The good news, she does have a job lined up as a teacher but she pretty broke financially and spiritually. I am going to pay her first 2 months rent and pay for her movers from Houston to New Braunfels and I am looking for the most economical way yo move her one bedroom apartment. This is not a loan to her and that is the reason I am trying to maximize the $$$ I will spend on her move.

Any ideas, suggestions how can accomplish this move on a reasonable budget? She got quoted about 2K for this move and I have no idea if thats a good price or not?

I really appreciate any ideas or suggestion.
