Is my rent that out of line with rents in Houston?

I pay about $3,400 per month for a one bedroom in upper Kirby. I moved here from the Bay Area and thought I thought it was ok at first but everyone I talked to seems gobsmacked when they find out. Anyone break their lease lately? I don’t know if I should be paying this, especially in this economy
