Can we stop with the Anderson at 2 nonsense
I know most of us want a QB from looking at the polls, but I get so frustrated seeing people say here or on twitter that we should be taking anderson or anyone else at 2, or even worse trading down and grabbing a worse QB prospect. Are you kidding?
We have a lot of holes. But the most important position on either side of the ball is QB, and Davis Mills is a BAD QUARTERBACK (Stanford fan here). Please stop saying otherwise. We have a chance to get a very good prospect at 2 that costs us nothing extra, but instead people would rather wait for caleb williams. Here are just a couple reasons that I think that's a terrible idea.

There's no guarantee Caleb Williams ends up being better than Stroud/Young. Does he look great now? Yes. But there is always a degree of uncertainty with this kind of stuff. Just think of how many qb busts there have been over the last couple years. Even if he isn't a straight bust, I think it's unlikely that he will be astronomically better than stroud/young to the point where we look dumb for not trying to get him.

Let's say we do draft anderson with the #2 pick and wait for caleb williams. What's the guarantee we can actually get him? One scenario is we are the worst team in the league and get to pick #1, in which case that means our draft choices sucked. Another scenario is we end up somewhere other than one and to pick him we would have to trade up. What if the team at #1 wants williams and are unwilling to trade? Then we're just out of luck. If they are willing to trade, imagine how much we'd have to give up to get him. We need our draft picks to fill out our roster with talent why would we sent a boatload of picks for a QB next year when we can just take one this year with no added cost?

oops I thought I had more reasons. But I think 1 and 2 are pretty strong. I guess here I would say do we really want to watch bad qb play for another year? We have been suffering with a bad team long enough.
I can't wait for the draft to happen so we can be done with all this talk, it's killing me!
