Ranking 2023 NFL Draft QB Prospects – THE RESULTS
A couple weeks ago, I shared a list to rank 9 of the top QB prospects in this year's draft. The list was shared to the subs of a few teams considered more QB-needy than most. In total, 901 people completed the rankings and I have all the results to share. You can see them yourself here.
The data is broken into two categories – an aggregate score and total outright wins. The aggregate tallies the total final positions of each player for each person's list meaning that a low score wins (first place is 1 point, second is 2 and so on). The wins stat just counts the total number of times of a player was ranked number 1. The disparity between the two rankings can point to disagreements in the survey group (if a player ranks low but has quite a few wins they are considered controversial).
The aggregate results:
Bryce Young – 1563
CJ Stroud – 1595
Anthony Richardson – 3014
Will Levis – 3872
Hendon Hooker – 4460
Stetson Bennett – 6006
Tanner McKee – 6341
Max Duggan – 6347
Clayton Tune – 7347
Notes: For having 901 responses, the top two are incredibly close. From there, the results break down into four more tiers with Richardson occupying his own, Levis and Hooker sitting in the third, Bennet-McKee-Duggan in fourth and Tune clearly in last.
Outright win results:
Bryce Young – 437
CJ Stroud – 392
Anthony Richardson – 43
Will Levis – 12
Hendon Hooker – 9
Stetson Bennett – 6
Max Duggan – 2
Tanner McKee – 0
Clayton Tune – 0
Notes: Not much movement here relative to the aggregate with the exception of Duggan moving up. Young and Stroud look even stronger at the top compared to the aggregate.
