Looking for date night ideas? Just moved back to Houston and put together this spreadsheet to track activities. Feel free to use it as inspo if you’d like.
I grew up here but moved away for college when I was 19. As such, I never really got to truly experience Houston as an adult. I moved back in November and want to take advantage of all the great things our city has to offer. I started dating someone and loved the idea of a date night jar, but I wanted to be able to filter and sort, so I started a spreadsheet instead. Figured I'd share it here in case anyone wants to make a copy and build their own.
What are some of your favorite date nights in town? Would love inspo for what to add.

Spreadsheet particulars:
– Put your home address in the 'Starting Address' column to automatically calculate the driving/walking distance in columns D/E
– Column W 'Friends in town' is what I use to track activities that would be fun to do w/ other people when they visit.
– If you make a copy and edit it directly, the driving/walking distance will auto-calculate. If you want to install the script that makes this work, see this page. Then, in Sheets go to Extensions -> Apps Script and copy/paste the js from here.
– It's not fully filled out, and YMMV. I'm vegan, so the restaurants I have listed are vegan friendly. Obviously this won't apply to a lot of people.
Would love thoughts on how I can make this better, constructive criticism welcome.
