can i fly into houston with a pen?

hey there, im from a state where recreational thc is legal. i’ll be flying into houston tomorrow and have terrible flight anxiety so i wanted to bring my dab pen to help with that. i was wondering if it might be okay to travel to houston with a dab pen and leave without it? it seems like it would be okay to travel with it if the battery and cartridge are separated, but i don’t want to risk getting caught with it as i’m leaving texas so i might just leave it with a friend there when i go home. do you guys think that would be an okay thing to do to prevent myself from getting arrested?
