Does anyone know if the old Sears in Garden Oaks was sold?

I remember hearing news about people trying to preserve the retro sign a year or two ago, but not much else. Also, between drinks a few friends and I decided we would start a "meme campaign" on GoFundMe if it was still up for grabs. If it doesn't work out then we have something to joke about during game nights, but if it does work then we'll fix up the place. Or turn it into James Harden's new favorite strip joint idk whatever y'all want, I guess.
