Where should I live in Houston (with conditions):

I for some conditions though:

1. I want to take public transport to and from University of Houston to wherever I live and have peace of mind

2. If that’s not possible, where is the best place to live to get to UH and not worry about Houston traffic?

3. I’m not used to flooding, is there a spot to live that avoids a place being washed away that meets the first two requirements?

I’m not from Houston, so I’m worried about things that are popular (doesn’t make it fact): rougher than other other big cities in Texas and floods.

On a positive, I’m incredibly excited about the diversity, I assume this is everywhere in Houston and not in a particular location. Correct me if I’m wrong.
