Is Every Taxpayer In Harris County In Favor of Paying Legal Fees for Harris County Employees?

On Monday night, while in executive session, Ellis, Garcia and Briones voted to pay the legal bills of indicted Harris county employees if they prevail in court. Lina abstained. This has never been done before & it was arranged in the January meeting of Harris County Commissioners Court through a policy change.

I actually accept this policy when it is a special prosecutor but don’t like it when a DA brings charges. I also find Executive Session BS in a governmental body.

Hey, it’s only $670k but the trial hasn’t even happened.
