Short term (1-3 month) furnished accommodations near TMC?

Hi there, my wife has accepted a Travel Nurse contract at Texas Children's hospital for next week. Looking at places with little notice is proving to be pretty difficult, especially given that she'll be walking/cycling or using transit to get to work. I've checked Furnished Finder and Facebook groups – the places left seem either wildly overpriced or cockroach infested based on reviews. I've also looked at the extended Extended Stay America NRG on Braeswood and it seems like it is in rough shape as well. All of the Facebook PMs for my "in search of" housing have all been scams as well. AirBNB hosts also seem unwilling to budge on pricing for extended stays, making a hotel the better (and still pricier) option.

Not looking for anything too fancy but I am looking to see if i've missed anything as far as "go to" sites are for furnished suites. I did try Apartments.com as well but they seem to be primarily non-furnished suites and their app doesn't allow Canadians to use it.

I have to think there's a site I've missed somewhere.

Sort of at a loss here. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated
