The Initial Discourse Following the Panthers Trade : Stroud #1, Young #2

Vegas is saying so. People are saying so. Panthers fans and journalists alike. CJ Stroud is going #1 to Carolina. Moments after the trade, it was Young. Some time passed, people thought about it, and now the favor swings heavily toward Stroud.

Discourse will change even more but once a notion lands solid, it tends to stay. I'm thinking of Travon Walker just last year.

I'm somewhere between shock and disbelief at the fact that the odds must then say that the Texans are getting Bryce Young, my favorite choice since the beginning. I won't truly believe it till I see it of course, but the stage is set for Young to fall to us.

As others have explained, CJ Stroud to the Panthers makes a lot of sense. If you think about it, Stroud is truly the less risky candidate. He checks every single box for a QB. Size, speed, accuracy, power, processing. His game has only trended up his entire life and his performance against Georgia was one for the ages. Stroud showed no hesitation to show out at the combine and threw the prettiest and most effortless passes at the event.

Bryce Young? Tiny. Hilariously small. Dominates his last game, but against a much weaker opponent than Georgia. DOESN'T THROW AT THE COMBINE. Backing down at anything at the combine just implies you're a little bitch made. Bryce's last year, despite showing off his talents, was mostly underwhelming. Add in some concern about the shoulder? Is this the QB you give everything up for?

This could really happen. I'd truly be happy with either QB, but I just love Young, he's a short king and I want him in Houston.
