How come entertainment companies choose to invest in the DFW metroplex instead of the Houston Area?

With the announcement of the New Peppa Pig theme park and Universal Studios opening in the DFW, I can’t help but wonder why do they keep choosing them over Houston? Not only that… but Six Flags, Medieval times, Great Wolf Lodge, Legoland discovery center, Louis tussauds wax museum, Ripleys believe it or not…. all big entertainment corporations that have properties in the Dallas metroplex, but not Houston… Granted, great wolf lodge announced recently that they’re opening in Webster/league city but they still chose the DFW first… what makes the Houston area so unappealing for them to invest in? There’s not much for them to rival.
