Hear me out: We should draft Hooker in the 2nd round or with our later 1st rounder

Unless Nick truly believes Bryce is our guy I honestly think we should go defense. Now I personally want to draft a QB at 2 because I just want us to be relevant past October, but I could really see us taking defense with our first two picks and then drafting Hooker in the 2nd or late 1st round trading up and snatching him. A QB is not going to solve our team we really need more than just a QB. I think we have maybe 1 or 2 average NFL receivers. We need more defensive pieces for DeMeco to work with. Our team is not going to go from taking Bryce to automatically in the playoffs. I really truly believe that we could take Hooker in the 2nd round. Let him heal his ACL start Mills for a couple games and then Hooker can take over when healthy. We can build a team while we develop Hooker, and plan for next year so that we are relevant.

What do y’all think? Am I completely crazy or is this possible?
