Astros Dominant Wins #9

This is the second-to-last video of a 10-day series, highlighting the most dominant Astros wins in the last five years (2018-2022).

Game 9 – 8/18/22 @ White Sox – W,21-5

This rout against the White Sox in Chicago was my favorite game of the season last year. The Astros simply did not let off the gas. Every starting position player had a hit, and all of those but Pena had an RBI. This was an incredible day for Bregman, who hit 2 doubles and 2 bombs for 7 RBIs. On the pitching side, Garcia had a rough start but still managed to navigate through 5 innings with minimal damage. Abreu and Montero struck out 5 batters for the last 6 outs of the game.

Runs were scored in every Astros half inning except two: the 1st and the 5th. Infielder Josh Harrison comes out to pitch the 9th, and we continue to humiliate them. It was tough for even me to watch. All of our players hit screaming liners, we run the bases as slowly as we can, and then the White Sox fail to field two balls for even more runs scored. Neither of their “errors” counted on the box score though.
