People stopping by your house selling magazines to got to an organization of your choice

Hello everyone. Has anybody been visited by people telling you a story about a troubled path and are now trying to be a productive member of society by doing this program where you can buy packages of magazines that will go towards an organization of your choice?

I have 3 people visited me already and I’m trying to see if this is a scam or a legit business.

Thoughts? I live in the Montrose area and no money has been provided so far…
